NICE workers in Gros Islet met over the weekend to devise a strategy to get the government to address their plight, as they face termination of their contracts. Former Gros Islet MP, Emma Hippolyte, convened the meeting. She says the government’s approach does not yield results for decreasing unemployment.

She has taken the current Gros Islet MP to task for his stated views on NICE.

The leader of the opposition Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP), Philip J. Pierre, called on the NICE workers to mobilize. He would also admonish them for not supporting and defending the Labor party as they should have during the run up to the General Election.
