Taiwanese Ambassador, Ray Mou, presented three cheques to the Government of St Lucia on Monday.
The funds will go toward three projects – the Forestiere Human Resource Centre at a cost of EC$806,460.00; the Sarrot Multi-purpose Court at a cost of EC$403,230.00 the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) costing over EC 30 thousand dollars. The sum of US one million was also contributed by the Taiwanese, to go towards the Constituency projects.
Castries South East MP, Guy Joseph, says the projects earmarked for the constituency will touch many lives.
The MP says he is elated to have the multi-purpose court project finally coming on stream, noting that it had commenced 5 years ago under the UWP, but says that the project was discontinued by the SLP government.
