Attorney at Law Daarsrean Greene was on Monday October 17th officially sworn in as the acting Director of Public Prosecutions for Saint Lucia. Greene vowed to do his best to put things in place to handle the outstanding matters facing his office. The new DPP says his priorities are the backlog of cases before the High Court of Justice and the alleged extrajudicial killings. According to him, full investigations will be conducted into these matters. The DPP says he is grateful for the expressed commitment of the Government to provide support to the Office of the DPP with additional human resources such as a special prosecutor if the need arises. Greene took the Oath of Office at the Governor General’s Residence.
