Students at the Choiseul Secondary School took up placards and held a protest at the school on Thursday. The students say their plight at Choiseul Secondary School has been ignored for far too long and they want the issues addressed. A section of the school has been deemed structurally unsound for some time. With heavy showers over the past two days students say their current classrooms are experiencing flooding. However Chief Education Officer says the situation has since simmered down. He says the Ministry has received no report of continued protest action and the Permanent Secretary has written to principal, advising of the status of planned rehabilitation of the school. Choiseul / Saltibus MP, Bradley Felix, was touring schools in the district on Thursday and was on the Choiseul Secondary School Compound to witness the protest. The MP says he has no issue with the students making their discomfort known.
