Medical personnel from St Lucia and in particular staff of St Jude Hospital have over the years benefited from much needed training in various fields through the generosity of Changhua Christian Hospital in central Taiwan.

What is remarkable about the training being offered by the Changhua Christian Hospital is that it is not limited to the clinical staff only, but includes health information systems, administration, Biomedical personnel and first response personnel among others.

Currently another four staff members from St Jude hospital is in Taiwan undertaking training at the Changhua Christian Hospital. The group include Physician -Dr. Sylvestre Francois, Charge Nurse- Kathleen Albert, Health Information Manager -Margaret Samuel and Biomedical Engineer Kevin Didier.

The group along with the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center, Nina Kao PhD, and other staff of the hospital visited the embassy of Saint Lucia in Taipei and provided a brief on the ongoing training. Discussions were also held on ways for further collaboration between Changhua Christian Hospital and St Jude Hospital.
