Police were called in to the office of the Minister of Economic Development, Guy Joseph, as a precaution after angry contractors came to enquire about their monies. The contractors worked on projects just ahead of the June 6 election but have not received their money. The contractors say the move to call in police was unnecessary and heavy handed, given that they had not made any threats or gotten physical in any way. The SSU officers were armed but there was no escalation in the situation.
