Soca artiste Jonathan ‘Nina Dan’ St. Rose is among six inmates from the Bordelais Correctional Facility who will be officially launching songs soon. This is the first time that inmates were permitted to record from behind bars, for public consumption. The move is part of the prison’s rehabilitation programme in which prisoners are prepared for reintegration into society. The production of the songs has been in the works for the past seven months. The date and location for the official release of the songs have not been finalised as yet.
