Three men were arrested by the police in the wee hours of this morning, after a failed carjacking.

According to information, five men boarded a Gros Islet bus at about 3 am and while the vehicle was on its way to the North of the Island, one of them whipped out a firearm and held it to the back of the driver’s head.

The driver was ordered to take the men to Balata, but while on his way there, he swung his vehicle across the road blocking traffic coming from both directions.

It is reported that the men then fled.

Police were called out and Officers combed the area accosting three of the five men. They also recovered a firearm.

All three men, described as being young individuals,  are  currently in Police custody.
