Meanwhile, Prime Minister, Allen Chastanet hosted the annual Christmas party for children with special needs last weekend, at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence in Vigie. Children with special needs from districts throughout the island were the guests of honour at the festive event, which encompassed a range of celebratory activities including a visit from Santa Claus. The prime minister said the event is inspiring. He said former Prime Ministers must be commended for spearheading and continuing the initiative. He says it is something that he is proud of and cherishes. He added that presently there is a lot of work being done to further aid and support those with special needs.
