The president of the craft and dry goods vendors association, Peter Isaac, says a disturbing report was brought to his attention on Wednesday. A male cruise ship visitor was allegedly robbed at knifepoint at a restroom in the vendors’ arcade. Speaking to media on Wednesday, Isaac said he was informed that the visitor quickly re-embarked the cruise ship following in the incident. Isaac has levelled criticism at the CCC for what he says is its insufficient manpower in the city and looking to constabulary officers to maintain law and order as opposed to allowing police to take up those duties. Isaac believes the CCC constabulary officers should be focused within the arcade and market area while police officers work the beat in the city.
