Education Minister Minister, Dr Gale Rigobert, has called out the media for what she says is its sometimes insatiable appetite for sensational news, her remarks some in the wake of an alleged incident at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College. The Minister says the fact that police have released the alleged perpetrator pending further investigation, should serve as a lesson to the media that when these incidents occur that they resist the temptation to run with stories without having the benefit of the full details. She added that there was a way in which matters can be reported in a preliminary way without having to implicate anyone “unnecessarily.
