The Jazz Festival as part of the new Soliel Summer Festival, will be staged this weekend and, according to the opposition it is expected to flop. Opposition Leader, Phillip J Pierre, said the government’s rebranding has in effect ruined what was perhaps one of the best jazz festivals in the world. However, MP Dominic Fedee, challenged that notion, arguing that is the festival has low numbers it would more likely be because that the thousands of complimentary jazz tickets that were given out by the former administration are no longer being given. MP Guy Joseph also claimed that jazz tickets were being used for political mileage.
