As part of its education program, the St.Lucia Civil Service Association (CSA) has organized a one-day workshop for its newly elected shop stewards employed in the Public Service.
The workshop is being held today, Tuesday, 27th September, at the CSA’s Auditorium, Sans Souci.
Approximately twenty (20) new shop stewards are expected to attend the day’s activity, which will concentrate on the following issues: –
- Grievance Handling/Role Play
- What is the Employee Assistance Programme
- Collective Bargaining/Negotiations and what is a Collective Agreement
- The role and responsibility of a Shop Steward
Facilitators will be drawn from the CSA’s Senior Secretariat staff, Senior Shop Stewards from branches and legal officers from the Ministry of the Public Service.
