While public schools on island reopened today Monday 9th January, the Choiseul Secondary School has not fully reopened. Classes resumed for Form three to 5 students. However Form One and Two students have been asked to report to school next week Monday, as provisions to accommodate the students have not been completed. Chief Education Officer Marcus Edward, says the Ministry of Education is doing its best to get a handle on the situation.
The Education Ministry says it has advised the contractor to take all necessary actions to minimise any further delays. A double shift of workers has been approved to speed up the construction of the building. Edwards says the Choiseul Secondary School rehabilitation remains a priority.
