The National Workers Union has submitted to the CCC a memorandum with areas of concern relating to general working conditions on behalf of its employees. This development is as a result of a meeting held recently between Council representatives and officials from the NWU. Both sides agreed to cooperate and work together to help bring the Council’s financial position to a manageable level and to take decisions that would advance the interest of the employees. Going forward the document will be used at upcoming industrial discussions between the Council and the Union. The National Workers Union recently gained trade union recognition to represent the Council workers.
