The man charged with the robbery of the General Workers and Farmers Credit Union made his first court appearance on Wednesday. Ked Jean of Marc, Bexon, is accused of being one of two men who entered the credit union located and Bois D’Orange on Friday 24th March, holding a firearm and demanding cash.
One of the robbers brandished a firearm and disarmed the female security officer. The two men allegedly robbed the credit union of 50 000 dollars but luckily for police, their images were captured on CCTV cameras. Appearing in court on Wednesday, the accused threw a bath towel over his head to conceal his identity. Jean was remanded in custody pending a bail hearing. The other suspect is still at large.
