A confrontation in the community of La Clery on Saturday left on woman nursing a cutlass injury. According to an account by the mother of the victim, there was an exchange of words between her daughter and a man and his female companion. A short while after, the couple allegedly left the scene of the argument and returned armed with a cutlass and a sharp object. The alleged victim, Tamara Joseph, was chopped near her knee and allegedly stabbed in the back. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
