The St Lucia Labour Party hosted a public meeting in Laborie on Sunday. Opposition party members argued that nearly one year after the June 6 election, the UWP government has wasted an entire year in office.

Joachim Henry says as a result of the government stopping many of the projects initiated under the Labour party, like NICE and the administrative building in Vieux Fort, people are facing strife. The SLP gives the government a failing grade after one year and says the people need to stand up to its policies of victimization. Meanwhile the UWP held a number of celebratory thanksgiving masses at churches around the island. The party says it has seen much success in building a new and more prosperous St Lucia.
