The man, who was left bloodied and beaten by Babonneau residents after attempting to rob a shop at gunpoint, is out of hospital. The man has not been charged with a crime and, is reportedly out free. It is not clear whether a report was made by anyone with regard to the attempted robbery. Without a formal report from the witnesses, the police have no solid case against the suspect. Police are also still trying to recover the gun allegedly used in the attempted robbery. Police have warned against vigilante justice, cautioning that they will have to answer to the law courts. Police says the law speaks to self defense and defense of property but not to vigilante justice.
