Invest St Lucia CEO, Mc Hale Andrew, was fired up when he addressed the town hall meeting in Vieux Fort on Wednesday evening. He expressed exasperation with what he says has been constant negativity. He warned that if such partisan attitudes persist when it comes to national development, the country will continue to lag behind with the completion of much needed projects
Andrew says the process of consultation is meant to give everyone an opportunity to help shape and influence the government’s negotiation on the upcoming phases of the multi billion project. According to the government, the only phase of the project that is set in stone, is the first phase – which consists of the horse racing track.
Meanwhile the Vieux Fort Concerned Citizens Coalition says it is committed to continued opposition of the project under its current agreement terms.
