The St Lucia Labour Party is continuing its campaign against the government’s DSH deal.Notably, former Prime Minister and Vieux Fort South MP, Dr Kenny Anthony, made his return to the political platform on Sunday. He told the crowd that it was good to be back. Speaking on DSH, he warned that the deal is not in the favour of the people of Vieux Fort or St Lucia. Dr Anthony described the investor as clever and uncompromising.
The opposition has vowed to keep up the fight to halt the project, given the existing agreement. All of the SLP speakers, including political leader Phillip J Pierre, said they were not against development for the south, however they say the south is practically being given away to the developer.
