The Minister for Equity, Social Justice and Empowerment, Lenard Montoute, says his ministries will be meeting not just among themselves, but with other agencies and ministries, to come up with social interventions to tackle crime. The Minister says rather than just being lectured about what they should or should not do, young people want options. These options, he says, must come in the form of employment and training, and options for conflict resolution as well. The Ministry of Justice, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Social Services will come together to ensure a comprehensive approach to addressing once and for all, the situations that are facing the country.
