A trough system is expected to maintain above normal cloudiness, shower activity and thunderstorms over the eastern Caribbean region during the next 24 – 48 hours. You can expect weather conditions that range from cloudy to overcast skies with showers some of which may
be heavy, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms. Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides are
advised to continue to exercise extreme caution since the top soil is already saturated and further heavy rainfall will trigger these hazards. Fishermen and sea goers should also exercise due caution. Tropical cyclone formation is not expected in our region for the next 2
days. The met services says while it is important to be vigilant people should not panic. The inclement weather forced Educational officials to close all schools today Tuesday.
Minister for Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development Honourable Dr. Gale T. C. Rigobert made a statement this morning advising that parents and guardians keep children at home in order to ensure safety while the island is experiencing this weather system.  There have no reporst of damage.
