Christian Wells aka “Chris” of Ti Rocher is due to appear in the First District court today – Wednesday to answer to the charge of possession of an illegal firearm and possession of ammunition. The charge stems from an incident on Monday when the Special Patrol Group of the Central Police Station conducted an operation on Brazil Street, Castries. During the operation, the officers had reasonable cause to search a male individual suspected to be in possession of a knife. The search of the male individual later identified as Christian Wells of Castries revealed one .25 semi-automatic pistol with one round of ammunition and one switch blade. Wells was arrested and formally charged for the offence of possession of illegal firearm and possession of ammunition.
