The Minister with responsibility for Infrastructure, Ports, Energy and Labour, Stephenson King left the island Saturday, September 11th  for an official visit to Canada.

Minister King is accompanied by Labour Commissioner,Ray Narcisse and Labour Relations Specialist and Consultant, Winhall Joshua.

Over the course of eleven days, the Minister will be meeting with farmers and employers in the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario, with a view to discussing, exploring and creating off-shore employment opportunities in Canada for Saint Lucian nationals, especially in the Canadian Seasonal Agricultural Farm Workers Programme.

During the reception, the Minister will have an opportunity to address, and interact with a number of Saint Lucians living in the greater Toronto area, in the Province of Ontario. Arrangements are also being made for the Minister to meet with several Canadian entrepreneurs interested in doing business in St. Lucia.

The delegation will also meet and have discussions with officials of the OECS liaison service in Toronto, and the staff of the St.Lucia Consulate General in Toronto.
